I did not heed the warnings before I bought a retail device for Vonage. The advertisement said free device after $50 rebate. That was back on Dec 15, 2004. Over 5 months later and no rebate.
I'm not whining here, I am warning others. Do yourself a favor and take advantage of the on-line rebates since they appear to work instantly, and avoid buying your device retail. I should have listened but I didn't. |

"Please allow 12 weeks after vonage's receipt of your application and the completion of your 90 day service commitment, whichever is later, for delivery of your rebate." |

I can read.
I can also read "If you do not receive your rebate within 12 weeks after your 90-day Vonage service commitment, please call Vonage Service" from the same rebate form which almost contradicts the first statement. First it is after 6 months, but then you should call if it is not within 3 and 6 months.
I mailed the rebate right away. I've been tracking it for over 5 months on-line. It still has not been approved for payment saying it is in the required service period.
But let me repeat, I am WARNING people that if and when you get a rebate paid from Vonage, be prepared to wait 6 months. If you take the on-line deal offered here, you get instant gratification. |

I too have a problem getting my rebate paid from Vonage. I purchased my PAP2 from Staples and was told I would have a rebate mailed back. I have waited serveral months (since January)... the rebate has been vaild and is sitting in lingo. I called the rebate center 4 times and had no luck. It seams I have been lied to. Before anyone response about having to wait... there are several versions of how rebates are paid. I know of many that have a waiting period after 90 days, but the one I have states 4-5 weeks after they receive it. This rebate is not on Vonage service but a rebate for the equipment. I have read over the fine print and it states this. Since I sent my rebate in back in January it has been several months. Each time I call I get no where. I am soo pissed off about this. I wish companies would pay their rebates as promised. If they don't want to pay them just don't offer them. |

Same for me, I was supposed to get a $50 rebate on my RT31P2 from Linksys, I sent it in in May.
I check online at their rebate website and they have no record of it, now isn't that convenient for them.

Heya PL1, I don't know if you feel it'd be worth your time to call but if you've done everything right and waited the 90 days + 12 weeks (which you have) you can call and have one of their supervisors force it through. They have some powers over the web rebate company, the supervisors do. |

I signed up on July 6. The rebate web page has been on step 4 for about 2 months, since the rebate first showed up. On October 4 (90 days), the page changed slightly - it's still on step 4, but now it says
Your rebate has completed the first 4 of 6 steps A check request for $50.00 is being processed.
Previously the second sentence said something to the effect that it was waiting for the required service period to complete. I don't remember exactly what the first sentence used to be - whether it said that 4 steps HAD been completed, or that it was waiting for step 4 to complete. In any case it looks like a bug in their software - it should have automatically gone to the next step. |

Your "warning" people? All your doing is scaring people away.
Have you even called them?!?! Why are you putting them down when you havent done anything about it?
Call Vonage, see what they say. I did. A little while later, boom, a check. Im GLAD I went for the MIR option. |

In my case I bought the PAP2 at a big box electronics store. The rebate had 2 parts (two checks being sent). I got my first check today. I sent both forms in about the middle of August. |
