Post subject: Using Vonage in Mumbai
I am trying to set up
Vonage
using Linksys Router RT31P2 (that
Vonage
provided). I also currently have a cable internet connection @ 64kbps from Powersurfer.net (Relian Infocomm co) in Mumbai.
I have connected all the wires but am not able to get a dial tone. When I spoke with
Vonage
Tech support, they informed me that the
Vonage
Router cannot authenticate 2 things ie IP address AND user name/pwd. In other words, one has to be constant. Hence I need to buy an static IP address.
Any thoughts on the above? Has anyone installed
Vonage
using cable internet provider Powersurfer.net in Mumbai??Please help. In case you want to chat, please call me in Mumbai at 26336587.

Post subject: Where'd you get the power supply from?
Sorry my reply is a little off topic, but I've been really frustrated trying to find a power supply for the RT31P2 router.. if you're using the same one, could you please tell me how you're powering it?
Thanks!
