Dan, I love the site here.... and still like it... but lately I feel like the site is getting bloated.
There's so much "bulk" on it.. like HTML composition... ads inbetween almost every posting.. ads on the left.. ads on the right... links at the bottom that are 5 miles long....

And best of all, those ads pay for this forum. Think of what we would be missing if this forum did not exist. Just a thought. |

Oh.. I'm aware of how the ads work... I don't have an issue so much with them... I guess my complaint was that there are SOOO many ads.... like there used to just be ones on the side.. now they are inbetween every poasting...
And also the five miles of links at the bottom.
The HTML composition in the composer... I dunno call me simple |

For a free website and for all the help that I and others have found here, I find it amazing that people can complain...I have said it before and will say it again, Dan does an incredible job here at the forum, and should be commended...I know he will say no,no,no it's all you guys, but he does a great job.. |

Thanks guys/gals.
I am not sure what you mean by html composer. I think you mean the apache rewrite mod from session ids to html pages. If so, that is very much needed for search engine bots. If we did not have it, no one would even know about this site because the search engines would stop at the index page. With the speed of the new servers, you really should not even notice it. But please do let me know if you see a problem.
Thanks again. |

Dan... no I ment the HTML composer (As opposed to the plain old text composer) when you are writing a post... no biggie.... it just takes a little to load on older machines... but I'm currently on a faster one so I don't notice so much =)
Sorry if I seemed to be complaining... this site is great.. and I know Dan needs to make money to support it.... my biggest gripe was the ads in between every post as it made it hard to read... but those seem to be gone for the most part. |
