PostPosted: Sat May 14, 2005 1:44 am    Post subject: PAP2 bought @ SAM's Club $40 credit question Reply with quote Back to top

I purchased a PAP2 at SAM's club which came in a blister pack,

On the cardboard, it states "Includes a $40** credit from Vonage towards your monthly service >> ** 90 day activation needed"

I looked through the literature and found no other mention of this rebate.

Is this rebate something that will automatically apply on my 4th bill or am I missing any other documentation?

It should be applied 90 days after you first signed up.

OK, I've had my Adapter from Sams for about 3 1/.2 months now, at least 110 maybe 120 days of active service. No rebate yet!

I called Vonage customer service, the rep had never heard of the Sams rebate, after 25 minutes on the phone neither had his managers. He said he would create a ticket to get my situation looked into, but then he cut me off Mad

Anyone else actually seen this rebate materialize?

What do the folks at Sams say about it? Was there something you had to send in? Did you keep copies of everything? Was it only available to new customers (not sure if you were an existing customer when you bought the adapter)?

I guess the rep did actually create the ticket, since I got an email from Vonage customer service later this afternoon saying that I would get my $40 rebate posted on my next bill.

There is 'NO' paperwork for this rebate, nothing to send in, nothing to keep copies of (that's why I felt a little nervous) The box just says that you'll get a $40 rebate "automatically" after 90 days of service. So according to the email I got, that actually means on your next bill after 90 days of service, which of course ends up being your 4th bill.

i did a little research for where to buy mine, haven't sent the rebate in yet but BestBuy is definitely the BEST place to get the pap2. it cost 59.95....you get a 50 dollar rebate PLUS a 10 dollar rebate PLUS 55,000 bestbuy reward points which equals out to about 25bucks in store credit, if yer not already a reward member with them, then it costs 9.99 to sign up for it so after every thing is said and done, you basically get the adapter for free, and about 15 bucks in store credit!!!

Best Buy is really good with their rebates, too.
