Difficulty receiving faxes

have a dedicated fax line .. when some senders send faxes, works with no problem, but with others sending there is an error and the fax is not received correctly.

I realize there are settings that I can try, but as the "new guy" can anyone point me to some troubleshooting and settings tips? I'd HATE to give up Vonage!

Turn off error checking for your fac, especially if it is your computer.

If it persists call Vonage, they can make adjustments.

I had a similar issue with long faxes and some fax senders, everyting works amazingly well now.

I contacted Vonage TS, the guy was very helpful and made some changes on the Vonage end; however, still having some issues with receiving from certain fax machines.

I have looked into turning off ECM on the Ricoh 2050L fax machine I am using. But Ricoh says I need to call a technician to change the software settings. I am fairly technical -- anyone know how to disable ECM on a Ricoh Fax 2050L? ;}
