The reason why you can't access the Linksys page from a pc plugged into the dlink is because you have the cat5 plugged into the WAN port. It is acting like 2 seperate networks. One dlink network, and one linksys network.

Did you still have access to the internet when only using one of the two routers, only using the dlink or only using the linksys?

Hope ya get it working..

OK... it's working and here's the setup.

DLink Cable Modem -> DLink DI-784 -> Linksys RT31P2. Cable comes from port 1 on the 784 to the WAN port on the RT31P2. I setup Remote Admin on the RT31P2 just like dmbfish said. It's the only way it will work for me. If I go from the 784 to one of the three regular ports on the RT31P2 phone service gets dropped.

I appreciate your input dmbfish but I'm not stupid. I've worked in enough tech and customer support fields over the years that I feel it's best to look at all options. Had I been patient with myself I would have figured it out but people often respond quick on the Vonage forum so I thought I could knock this out quick and ask for assistance. I was getting different feedback from different sources so I want to find out what worked. You were right. Thanks to EnJaNir as well. Some of his input also helped. Especially to the link at Linksys in regards to chaining routers and the best way to setup.

It's odd been when helping someone else I consider these things but and take my time but when doing so for myself I get inpatient and forget sometimes.

Thanks for all your help! I appreciate it.
