When I changed dftp to tftp, it worked. My PAP2 is now upgraded to 2.00.14a.

Just Open the following URL:
http://PAP2 IP Address/upgrade?tftp://146.82.2.30:69/PAP2-bin-2-00-14-LSVa.bin

When Login Poup Appears:
Enter User Id: user
Enter Password: 7756112

That simply won't work given I'm addicted to my wireless router.

clarification on what? disabling wireless on the wrtp? if so, the clarification is directly below the post you quoted. if it's something else, be more specific.

that part. does he have to do all of that to get everyone to play in the sandbox together? im just curious.

Linksys and VTech External Beta Test Trial Information

Known Issues and Troubleshooting tips:

911:
911 is not activated for the Linksys and VTech beta test units. All of the customers in the trial signed contracts for the trial and are aware.

Vonage Features:
The current firmware versions for the Linksys and VTech units do not support all of the Vonage Features. Customers can place and receive calls but will not be able to uses features such as call forwarding, simluring and other advanced features.

Firmware Timeouts:
Due to the size of the firmware files and customer’s bandwidth the device may experience a timeout while downloading firmware. This is not a big issue. The device is designed to continue to try until successfully downloading the file. The device saves the porting of the file that has already downloaded to the device flash memory and will continue the download where the device left off. The device doe not require a reboot to complete the firmware download.

LED and LAN Issue with RTP300:
There is a known issue with nextgen RTP300 units on firmware 1.00.18 upgrading to a higher firmware 1.00.20 or later. The power LED stays stuck in perpetual blink state when it upgrades to the later firmware version and there is no access to the unit on the LAN side. We are waiting for a firmware fix. Current work around is to factory reset the router part using hard reset button in the back. This issue affects only RTP300s, WRTP54Gs should not have this issue.
