I love the convience and reliability of it but would NEVER recommend it to anyone based nt his rebate mess! Best Buy sent theirs right on time. Vonage is the problem.

I bought my WRTP54G back in mid-July, and activated it the same day. I waited a couple of weeks to make sure everything was working, and filed for the rebate around the end of July.

My rebate check for $100 came in last week.

August, September, October fulfilled my 90 days, then November was the "post-qualification delay", and my check came in right about the time I expected it.

Sorry to hear about the nightmares others have gone through. Fortunately, mine went through just fine.

In May 2005 I purchased Linksys/Vonage phone from Staples with %50 rebate. Right after the submission I received conformation email with link to track it. 7 months later the status is still showing "in final processing". No one, no Staples, no Vonage or rebate center can tell me anything. I was told to wait. Wait for what? Eventually my tracking number will vanish from their system and this will be end of that!

I am looking for people that had similar experience to try to get information what would be the best way to deal with this. Any advise out there? Phone number to call? email addresses to send email to?

At this point it is not about $50 but about principle. How is it possible that company can sell something promising "free" equipment that is never really free if you never see your rebate check?

One consistent message you should get from these forums is - emails to Vonage tend to go unanswered.

Call Customer Service.

Then call back and start working up the chain. Letters to Vonage (mailed letters) seemed to get responses for a few people in this thread.
