Post subject: Should I Believe This Transfer Date II
The carrier has issued a tentative transfer date for 5/19/05. Please keep in mind that this date is subject to change and is not necessarily the date your transfer will take place. We will send you a notification when the date is finalized by the carrier.
Sincerely,
Bernice

I varified my date by logging into my SBC account online and saw that a worko rder was scheduled to be completed on the date of my transfer. I called SBC to ask a question and they said that the system showed I was no longer a customer and that they were transfering my service. You can always call the old company and ask if they have a work order for the transfer. They will tell you the date.

When a rep tells you a "tentative" date it is just that, tentative and moveable. We work with a number of third party companies, some tentative dates are more tentative than others.
You can be sure if a rep says we have a confirmed date. They are basically set.
