I've been thinking of getting the Uniden Tru8866, but have one major concern. A couple of years ago I picked up a Panasonic 2.4Ghz phone and ended up returning it because after 30 minutes on the phone it would get hot. Not hot enough to melt anything, but it did make it uncomfortable to hold. We went through three of them before we gave up and decided to stick with the 900Mhz phones we had. Do those of you with the Uniden Tru 5.8Ghz phones notice anything like this? |

Not at all. I've got four of them and I've never noticed them heating up when in use. |

I know nothing about the Panasonic, but I'm very happy with the Uniden TRU8885/TCX800 system. I've never seen my wife get excited about anything electronic before and she fought me on buying them two weeks ago, but she is totally thrilled with them now. |
