I have a broadband service with 1.5M upstream and 256K upstream. I got the vonage broandband router and configured it. We are able to hear the dial tone and make calls but we can once hear when the phone rings after anyone picks up we cannot hear there voice. Same with incomming calls. We check with our ISP and they said that they do *not* block any ports. VOnage techinal help folks could not figure out what's wrong and did not know how to fix it. We have also tried changing the phone instrument (actually we tried 6 different phones). The router we have at home is:
LINKSYS Etherfast Cable/DSL Router with 8-port switch Model No. BEFSR81 Ver. 3
The vonage broadband router is a linksys one. We have also trying changing the vonage linksys router but we ran into the same issue. |
