I've had 2 additional numbers on my simulring since they allowed more than one, and I've never had a problem. My home phone, cell phone, and office phone all ring at then same time, although the 2nd & 3rd usually don't start immediately, but always by the second ring at the house.

I really liked this feature until I had the follow problem: I set up the SimulRing to my cell phone. The problem was when I would call my Vonage number from my cell phone. The system would SimulRing my cell phone which would go right to voicemail because I was on the phone. The Vonage line would half ring which was not enough time to answer the call. I hope a fix is in the near future, I really do like this feature.

I've been having problems with more than 1 call on simulring. (which is basiclly call fowarding at THAT point!) Here's an e-mail from Vonage:

Thank you for contacting Customer Care. I apologize for any delay in
responding.

With regards to your Simulring not working with multiple phone
numbers, our engineers are aware of the issue and working to resolve
it. This issue is affecting other customers, and is not specifically
isolated to your account. At this time, we do not have a timeline on
when the issue will be resolved, but it should be resolved soon.

In the meantime, I would suggest that you implement Simulring with a
single phone number until this issue is resolved. If you have any
questions, please do not hesitate to contact us at 1-Vonage-HELP.

Sincerely,
Vinek

I recently bought a new cell phone, so I temporarily have two cell phones on my SimulRing list. Both phones ring properly. The new phone (a Cingular) seems to get the forward quicker than the old phone (Virgin Mobile), which tends to wait a ring or two before picking up. I think this is network-related, though; the Virgin Mobile phone always had a ring or two delay.

My Simulring seems to work as well as can be expected. I have it set to ring this way:

Vonage number->VoicePulse number->Thailand Cell phone then after a few rings to my Thailand office number which after 5 rings goes to my company office voicemail.

There seems to be a bit of voice quality degradation but I reckon this may be due to the number of networks involved

The main reason for the VoicePluse portion is due to the capability to dial more than 11 digits. I'll likely remove this portion if Vonage allows international FWDing in future.

Does that company you mention offer some sort of call forwarding service, or do you need a whole account to do that?

otaku,

I got a whole VoicePulse account in order to experiment with these additional features. I am happy with Vonage apart from the lack of Intl call FWD features.

Also, VoicePulse allows the use of my own purchased Sipura SPA-3000 ATA. This device will allow another special feature (although I just received it here and have not used it yet):

- I should be able to program it so my incoming calls can be routed to my local POTS line and dial a local number (like my cell phone).
- incoming calls to the POTS line should be able to have a password protected method to get a new dial tone on my Voip line enabling me to use Voip while away from the house but need cheap International or US calling.

Again, my needs are likely more specialized since I am using this in Thailand. I am completely happy with Vonage for the most part.

Has anyone got a resolution to this? Also on a side note. I just signed up for Vonage, and thought it would be great to enable the simuring, and have it ring our two cell phones together. Well my fiance is at work, and has her cell turned off. So my phone gave half a ring, and hre verizon cell rolled directly over to voice mail. I see this as a hudge problem. Also if one of us ever lets our cell phone battery die, or we go out of range. I can never answer the IP phone! As for call forwarding, I only see where I can foreward to one cell phone number, not two.. any sugestions?
