Ok after trying just about everything I could to make my Fax work constantly with Vonage(I had 3 fax numbers that just wouldn't connect EVER) I started just playing with the machine itself.
The service seemed to be right, I have no problems with the voice part, sound clarity is crystal clear and the only suggestion I couldn't follow was to change the Fax Baud speed to 9600 since the Brother's MFC don't have such option.
But they do have another option that seems to have done the trick for me at least on my MFC -5440.
There is a setting called "Compatibility" ( SET > FAX > Miscellaneous ) which at least for me was set up to HIGH as default...
I thought maybe these were the 3 speeds available so I set it up to BASIC thinking it might be the 9600 speed... 2 of the 3 numbers started working, i pretty much knew right then the problem had to do with that option... Then I decided to change it to NORMAL and now all 3 fax numbers work as well as the rest that were working before.
I hope this actually fixes my problems as I don't have any other fax numbers with problems so far but I will update if I find anything.
