Good day all,
I was approached by a re-seller and they claim they have the best Video security system. Has anyone tried this? What do you think of it? I need a system that could watch my nanny from work and work takes me all over the world so a stable system is really needed.
Thanks, LJ |

You might want to consider a network camera, which is a camera you can plug directly into an Ethernet jack and access over the network. We have four around our house, Panasonic network cameras. We have the older variety -- HCM230's I think -- but the newer ones -- HCM331A -- are better. These models in particular are intended for outdoor installations. Ours have been in service for 6+ years. They're bulletproof. If you lose power, once power comes on, they just go back to their home position. You can pan around remotely (they expose a web interface), etc. Do a google search for HCM331A. |

This advanced home security service works over three communication channels - broadband, digital cellular and traditional phone lines. It also allows you to remotely control and access your existing alarm system via the web or your cell phone. The best part is their monitoring fees start at $19.95 per month. You can choose a month to month or contract plan. |

Hi Thomas,
I went ahead with them for video Surveillance and it has been almost 4 months and their system is been working great. I have even added two more cameras in my business under the same account and I can manage my Video security from anywhere.
Thanks anyways, LG |
