Hello, I'm unable to receive incoming calls on a regular phone. But I can make outgoing calls on a regular phone. I'm also able to receive incoming calls on the Softphone application. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Brian |

It would help us if you could tell us who provides your Internet, what Vonage Adapter/Router your using etc.
P.S.
Put that Information in your signature, like I have to save you typing it every time that you require assistance. |

Ignore reebok, we can only hope that his head will explode he has a permanent obnoxious streak in him. His real name is Christopher Hilbert. Please don't converse with him as you can see by his post, he is a mentally deranged person. Don't encourage him, ignor him, please.
Now, down to business. Check the writing (inscription) on the phone and find the RINGER EQUIVALENCE NUMBER (REN). It should be around 1 for an average telephone. Try to find a telephone with a REN of less than 1. It's possible that by lowering the load on the phone adapter output may improve your ability to receive calls. The phone adapter actually supplies power to the telephone. There has been a number of incidents where the phone adapter has weakened that ability. By decreasing the load on the line you may be able to get functioning again.
Do you have more than one phone on the line? Remove them, keep one with the lowest REN. If this causes your phone to function again, you need to get the phone adapter adjusted to specifications. The tech support people may be able to help, but don't count on it. Try PM-ing one of the Vonage Reps that are on here frequently like jdr30 or enigma9????. Especially the enigmaxxxxx (something). I've worked with him before and he can fix you up in minutes. |
