Post subject: Final POTS line bill
My number just transferred yesterday morning from Qwest. However, I just got my bill from Qwest for this next month's service. What have other experiences been regarding the final bill? I don't think I should have to pay for a month of service that I am not using. There is still a dial tone on my Qwest phone, but it no longer receives incoming calls. I expect that the dialtone will die today or tomorrow, based on other posts I've seen. How have other forum members handled the final bill from your previous carrier?

I called Qwest and confirmed the cancelation and final bill with them.
I then called AT&T(my long distance provider) and confirmed cancellation with them also.
Three weeks later I recieved 2 checks because they bill in advance.
