Post subject: Potential New Vonage user - some questions....
I am about to sign up for
Vonage
and ditch my local phone company.
The only worrying element is the problems discussed here about the Motorola ATA. These problems don't seem to occur with the Cisco ATA.
As I have a router and would like to use my existing phone, I saw on the
Vonage
web site that they provide the Cisco ATA and you plug your phone into that (which is plugged into the router,etc...)
So are
Vonage
shipping the Cisco ATA to new customers (someone said they had discontinued Cisco ATA) or the Motorola ATA? If the Motorola are the drop out and busy signal problems now resolved?
Thanks
excited but a little nervious new

I have been a customer for a month. I have the Motorola ATA, and I have had zero problems. My setup is cable modem->Netgear RP614v2 router->ATA.
