Post subject: VoIP and Postage Meters
I am a service tech for Neopost postage meter company. All new postage meters have a dial up modem in them. Has anyone looked into if these will work? I know that Verizon has begun to change how they transmit long distance calls in New York State and has caused postage meters and credit card machines a huge problem. They have told us they are using
VoIP
for these calls?

I have a Pitney Bowes E700 meter that definitely does NOT work with
Vonage
. I've tried all the tricks, DSL filters backwards and forwards,
vonage
tech support has tweaked the settings many time and to no avail. Though after all that, FAX's work 100% of the time now.
