Well, I think that i fthe issue is a known issue, and many people are experiencing a problem internationally. (search the posts, many, many people have the EXACT same issue, then I think an attorney would take the case. It would have merit.
I've tried calling 30 times in a row, tried calling cell phones over there and tried at different times since Friday. Every time yields the same result. A perpetual ringing phone that sounds like an american ring. If I hang up and call with a calling card, they answer right away an dthe ring sounds like the usual Ukraine ring (like a long beeeeeep)
I actually really want
Vonage
to do well and work out. I am truly hoping they remedy this because I hate SBC. But I have found many
Vonage
competitiors that very well may not be drowing in support from growing too fast that may have time to help its customers.
Do you have some sort of public number in the Ukraine that can be dialed? Something like a business with an automatic answering system (so I won't be bothering anyone). I am willing to give it a try.

Post subject: That is very generous
Well, if you can try the actual number, I don't think it will bother anyone. They often receive calls from us at weird times that get disconected. The nature of overseas calling I guess
if you can give me a direct email address or way that I could give you the number, I would really appreciate the test call. I just don't want to publicly post teh phone number.
Do you Instant Messege on Yahoo or MSN by any chance?
Thanks again.

There is a little button below my post that says PM. If you click that, it will take you to a place where you can send me a private message using the bulletin boards.

should somebody have answered? do they have an answering machine or anything?
here's what happened to me:
the first ring was a normal ring (this is normal with
Vonage
)
then, it kept ringing normal north american ring, but it was also ringing with a really obnoxious beeping sound. it could've been the long beep you say is the ukraine ring style, but it was broken up (going in and out). it was really loud, and reminiscent of an old car horn. high pitched. the two rings continued together for about a minute, until i gave up. i was unsure if i was bothering anyone on the other end (while not too late, it was around 10pm there when i tried).

Thank you for your help, and the test call. That is actually very encouraging. We started having some sucess the day after I last contacted you, I think maybe
Vonage
did some work on my account. But, that car honk breaking up is the Ukraine ring over a bad connection. But pretty much ALL connections in Ukraine are bad
Until that day, all call attempts just had the regular ring with no answer. Now we are getting through.
