Post subject: Touch Tones
I am having trouble getting touch tones to work using my
Vonage
phone to call my office voicemail. Basically I punch in my extension and password and inevitabley not all of the digits I push are picked up by my office voicemail. I have tried it several times with fast and slow pushing combination and I cannot get it to work. Anyone else having this problem?

Post subject: Similar issue here.
I'm having a similar problem that extends to all touch tone systems. My bank,
Vonage
voicemail, and even Moviefone fail to acknowledge account, password, or numeric input. I've called
Vonage
twice, and apparently, the technicians I spoke to resolved the dilemma. Unfortunately, the issue recurs even though the Voice settings on my RTP300 router haven't changed.
The first time I had to contact
Vonage
, I spoke with Tier 2 technical support, and the technician stated something about eight settings he could switch through for VT101 or something similar. We tried all eight settings, and apparently the final settiing, switching setting to '0' resolved the problem.
On my second call, the tech stated that my settings hadn't changed, and that she couldn't find anything wrong with the
Vonage
adapter's voice settings. She also stated that she would continue to research the issue and contact me via email once she found a resolution, since I had to rush off to work. Apparently, she did resolve the issue, even though I did not receive an email, but the problem recurred thad same day.

Wow, this problem was so long ago, I forgot I had it. I am not having the issue anymore and I don't remember what they did to fix it.
Sorry.

Ask them to adjust the DTMF tones.

Post subject: Called Vonage Tech again about it
Well, after a two-hour call with a very helpful tech, we switched through all five DTMF settings and determined that as of firmware update 1.00.58, I can't have my cake and eat it too. Before last week's firmware update, my old Uniden 900 mhz would connect properly to
Vonage
voicemail and other touch tone systems on a DTMF setting of '0'. After the update, it would connect to other touchtone systems, but not
Vonage
voicemail. I purchased a VTech ai5854 cordless to see if it was an issue of older technology facing newer tech, and discovered that I could connect to neither voicemail nor other touch tone systems on DTMF 0. After switching between each of the five settings, we determined that my new equipment would not allow access to touch tone systems on all settings, and would only allow access to voicemail on settings 1 through 3. So, until they determine what the issue is, I'll have to just access pertinant information online, rather than through the related touch tone systems.
Not a big deal for now, since I really just wanted easy access to voicemail.
