When I first read these forums, I thought Vonage sure has problems - until I realized that of the several hundred thousand ( my estimate ) Vonage customers, there were really only a few that had problems reported on this forum. A week ago I signed up and have been a satisfied customer so far with calls in Canada, USA and a conference call to Germany. ( Dashboard indicates I will only be charged for a single call to Germany for the three way call.) Only had a few technical and minor delays due to my inexperience and lack of knowledge about this system. My three new cordless phones work well, the fax machine works well and I registered for 911 service and within one day received confirmation that 911 service has recorded my location etc. I cannot detect any less voice quiality and my callers have never noticed any difference in quality of the voice transmission.
Yes, lower monthly costs, in line with those charged in the USA and competitive with Primus would be most welcome along with a referral bonus as offered down South. So far, a very positive experience.
