I get the bandwidth now. Just to let you know, when you are talking about bytes instead of bits it is generally a good idea to capitalize the B; otherwise, it is impossible to tell whether you are talking bits or bytes. If you say "I have 192 kbps, or 20 KB/s" we will know what you are talking about.
If you need more ports, get a hub. However, I think that it would be far easier (and less expensive) to do something about the software that is uploading. You didn't say how you are streaming mp3s; would it be possible to throttle that? |

I am not sure how I would configure QOS on the Soho. The advantage of the 96 and 97 is that they are directly connected to the WAN link and this will know when traffic is to be dropped.
I gotta think about this. |
That's exactly right. But, to get this (monitor upstream capability), you are going to have to invest A LOT of money in a router.
At most, you will be able to priortize your LAN traffic through the router based on address and/or application depending on the router. |

Actually there is some Linux software that will do this but for the life of me, I can't think of the name. Post over at dslreports.com in the Voip forum. You'll get a quick reply. You can probably do a search over there and find it pretty quickly. |
