We've been waiting since March 25 for our old phone number to migrate to Vonage. Our previous carrier is not the problem, and Vonage blames their third party who does this switch for them for the delay. Have other people had to wait 35+ days as we have? We can't get a satisfactory answer on why this is taking more than a month... It's frustrating. |

No offense meant, but you probably haven't read the boards yet. Some people are done on time, but some can take as much as 6 months.... We get more mad people than happy ones here, so you'll read alot of long wait times....

Yes, I think mine was around 35/40 days. It can get frustrating, but if you call they'll issue a credit back to you for service if it's longer than the 20 Business days, I believe that's the number. I know this isn't what you want to here, you probably just want it to be done like I did.
If you have call forwarding on your old phone you could forward the old phone to the Vonage virtual number until the port happens, but again it is frustrating, and I had to call many time to get them to request an expedite from the porting provider they use. |

Thanks for sharing what happened with you. I think MCI has shut us off on our service there, so we can't do the forwarding. Vonage did say they would do the expedite, so we will try to be patient. And thanks for the tip on the crdit after 20 days. We will definiteiy request that. |
