Post subject: Setting up Voicemail from my Cell Phone
My home number has been transferred to
Vonage
, however I’ve been traveling and have not been home to set up anything. I don’t have the router installed yet.
I’ve received voicemail so I’m assuming there is a generic “greeting.”
I tried to access my voicemail remotely from my cell so I can setup a personal greeting but I can’t access my account. It asks for you to press # to access your voice-mailbox and then asks you to enter your voicemail number followed by #.
I’ve tried entering the number that I had transferred (area code plus 7 digits), the temporary virtual phone number I was assigned and my
Vonage
account number. They all say they are invalid voice-mailbox numbers.
Any ideas?
TIA.

I think you have to enter 11 digits for your mailbox number (1+nnn+nnnnnnn). I remember having the same problem when automating buttons on my office phone to call voice mail.

That did the trick. Thanks!
