Did you guys try a DSL filter inline. Before the firmware fix when the tech would turn off the echo controls I needed a DSL filter in reverse to connect. Now I have a Replay box not a TIVO which max modem speed is 33.6. With the firmware fix I needed the DSL filter placed in the correct way and slowed down to 19.2kbs. It has connected every night I have since bumped it up to 24.6kbs
I personally tried RadioShack DSL filters and also their "noise filter" and neither did anything for me.

Since
Vonage
has obviously abandoned this thread, with no meaningful updates in days, I am attempting to call their phone "support" again. I've been on hold for 30 minutes. Any guesses as to if/when I actually get put through to a tech they'll have any idea what "beta firmware version 1.28" even means??

Sorry for the delay in re-visiting this thread. After the initial feedback we've gotten (mostly from you guys) the NEW firmware is nwo available to everyone. Simply call ANYONE at
Vonage
, and just ask them to upgrade your firmware (its all done with a click of a button)
NOTE -- Try calling from a NON
Vonage
phone or place a call while your not on the phone, because it will not download the firmware while your on the phone. Also keep in mind after it sends the request it can take 3-7 minutes for it to effectively download and write the firmware successfully. DO NOT turn off or remove power from the device at this point.
All should work alot better.

Well, after all that, I finally got the correct version of firmware. And... IT DOESN'T WORK!
I still can't dial out with my TiVo's.
Yay.

As an update my SAT-T60 has made another successful call. The 2 out of 6 calls that failed happened during the day, all successful calls were placed between 12-7AM. When I had a POTS line the daytime calls had a high rate of failure also.
I am glad that this Firmware can be deemed a success for my machine. Thanks guys!

Post subject: What is the new router FW version
For anyone who had gotten the firmware update:
Please tell us which router you have, what the firmware version you have, what voice version you have, and whether your PVR can now connect.
Thanks,

Post subject: upgraded firmware not working
A CSR upgraded my firmware last night to Voice Version: 3.1.3(LI) . Out of the several dozen attempts, the only successful one was to download new numbers for my area code. I tried *99 and ,#019 and ,#096 (What do they do?) but none woked
I have a series 1 Tivo. I don't think I can upgrade the box without buying a whole new subscription. Is there any hope?

I have the Linksys WRT54G2P router and my TIVO box is a Directv. I have been unable to connect the daily call, since installing
Vonage
. I have spent hours, literally HOURS, on the phone with the
Vonage
hired help from India as well as those in the US. I have NEVER experienced such incompitence in a CS group.
Last week, I did manage to have the firmware upgrade emailed to me. It is voice version 2.00.14 LIVa combin code. When I attempt to upgrade the firmware, the process will start on the router but crashes about half through.
Last evening I spent 45 minutes on the phone , being passed around from desk to desk but never actually having any meaningful comversation with anyone. Actually, I couldn't find anyone that knew anything about a firmware upgrade, even though I repeatedly asked for tier 2 support. I eventually just gave up, once again, and wrote 3 emails requested assistance. They have not yet been answered.
Can someone help, please?

Router: Linksys RT31P2
Firmware: 1.28.00
Voice: 2.0.14(LIVa)
Neither of my PVRs can connect at all. (I have 2 DirecTV TIVOs: HDVR2 and HR10-250.)
