Follow up on my situation. While I can make a test call 30% of the time, I haven't been able to make one daily call yet.
Series 1 Tivo, new firmware, ,*99 and ,#019 (can't even make a test call with any other # setting).

Post subject: What *IS* this new version's number?!
Called
Vonage
last night before finding this forum. I was told the update info would come to me on an email, but after reading the messages posted here I don't think that is the procedure.
Since I did not check the firmware version on my RT31P2 I'm not sure how to tell if it has been updated or not. Currently I have 1.28, but my Tivo still hasn't been able to successfully place a call. So, what *IS* the version number for this "beta" firmware you are all talking about?!
Also, is the process of upgrading the RT31P2 SOOOOO complicated that we cannot download this new firmware ourselves? I mean, the Linksys web interface to the device makes this process VERY easy, so I assume there is more involved than just a firmware upgrade. Is that a correct assessment?

Good question. I was wondering the same thing. I've upgraded my equipment BIOS/firmware many times.

Its not hard, but its not publicly open because lets say theres something wrong with the firmware as it messes up voice quality etc, we know who exactly has it, and who to fix.

So I guess that means that version 1.28 is not it
So, now that I have called support (they put in a request for the new firmware) AND I PM'd you with the info what should I expect? I'm thinking an email with the information and the file would be MUCH more efficient than a phone call, but I guess that's your call. I just want my Tivo and my
Vonage
to live in perfect harmony (like ebony and ivory) and hopefully get my DirecTivo to download version 6.2 of the software.
Thanks!

You know you have it if you login to the router, click on status, and your voice version says 2.0.14 (LIVa)

Actually, I will know I have it without checking the router since you are handling each case individually and personally
Since I'll have to do the update myself after I either get "the call" or "the email" I guess I won't bother checking my router's voice version every hour on the hour.
...patiently waiting...

I'm going to be in SUNDAY NIGHT (6PM - Midnight) to finalize the Tivo testing and send it to the last few people that did not get it. Monday we have to start sending the results up.
If you have not heard anything and want to test it PM me with the following subject line:
Sunday - Tivo Firmware - Beta Test
Include your acct#, device type, email address, MAC address of your device, and call back number. I should have enough time to get through to everyone on Sunday.
After Sunday at 6PM unfortunatley I cannot accept any more testers.

Okay, I sent you another PM with the requested info. How have people been making out with the upgrade?
