Hey, can any of you who have the firmware post it up somewhere where we can get it? I'm one of those frustrated DirecTivo users and PM'ed both people, but there's been no response. I know enough that I can flash it myself, just need the firmware to do the flash and hope for the best.
i agree with u, dang, my WRT54GP2 is on standby, it's been dead for two weeks

I received a firmware email for 1.28/2.14LIVa. After doing the upgrade, my linksys still shows 2.13LivB for voice. It appears the firmware didn't take. Has anyone experienced this?
A similar thing happened to me. Mine seemed to quit upgradingf after about 50% complete. I've emailed several times and placed calls...seems no one can help and they are not answering emails.

In the previous posts in this thread I said the firmware is no longer private testing and is now closed. All you have to do is call us up and ANYONE can upgrade the firmware, there is no need to keep messaging me.

This only works if you are one of the lucky ones to get a CS person who knows that a firmware upgrade is available. In my quest for the file, I spent over an hour on the phone recently, while being passed from person to person, only to be disconnnected. I haven't called back and doubt that I will. That wasn't my only bad experience with

Well the telephone people are clueless, after 45 minutes on hold they acted like I don't know what I'm talking about. Lovely..
and I only PM'd you once, not multiple times as you infer.

just use PPP. it's ALOT Easier, and works 100% for me. it's even a little fast than dial up, because it doesn't have to dial-in. usually takes under 1 min.

Post subject: Upgraded But Still Not Working - Tech Support At A Lose
I have upgraded my router using the new firmware. (Just call in to get it and insist on speaknig with someone who knows about Tivos)
They changed lots of settings on my router, but no luck.
What dialing prefixes is everyone using?
I have tried dialing in to get the list of 212 area code numbers, but that won't connect either. So, I'm stuck with my local dialing number.
I have only had luck dialing with #219, but it will successfully dial but comes back with Service unavailable. Everything else comes back as Failed to Connect.
I have a Hughes 40 DVR,
Vonage
RT router, and 3MB Charter Cable.

Directv Tivos will NEVER work with
Vonage
, until Directv changes the modem to digtal.. Directv Tivos have analog modems and
Vonage
uses digtal signals. the two of them basically cannot understand one another. there is no converting the digtal to analog, there is no need to waste money dsl filter, or slowing the modem down, or making it a fax line. there is no need to call
Vonage
tech support, and there is no need for need for
Vonage
to to put out new firmware to "TRY" to make Directv Tivos work with Vonage... it simply does not work.
