I signed up for new service, set up the router and everythnig works great, except my two Tivo units. I called tech support but had no luck getting everything up and running. So, I decided to cancel my service and keep my overpriced Verizon service. When I called customer service I was told that a fix was in the works for Tivo related issues and should wait to cancel. Am I being misled here or are these Tivo problems being corrected. What I get from the various postings here is that it can't be fixed and is an inherent problem with the technology, ie it wasn't designed to support Tivo type usage. Whats the deal? Am I wasting by time by waiting or is there light at the end of the tunnel? Any help would be great.

I would hang in there if you read these posts some go back 2yrs. T
Vonage knows about the problem and from my readings they are trying to get a * code like *70 to stop call waiting to but in your dialing prefix to cancel the echo supression for that call only to improve latency (delay) which the unit should connect. I call tech support every week and this is a real issue for Vonage. I know it is a pain but I have been manually recording with my replaytv box for 6 months.

Thanks for the reply. I like the savings from the new service but not the inconvenience if my Tivos won't work properly. Hopefully it can be corrected so I can keep it.

Heck, the Vonage line was supposed to help me save me money.

I feel your pain. I am going to cancel mine as well. I was just trying to figure out if the Vonage rep was blowing smoke at me or if they had the problem solved. I gather from the lack of a reply by anyone in the know, the former is true. If the deal is too good to be true, it probably is.
