I have 3 lines and a SoftPhone with Vonage, with1 (which shares a DSL broadband connection with a couple of computers) on one box and works fine. The other 2 have their own dedicated Comcast broadband connection (highest bandwidth plan) yet I have a chronical garbling problem on and of (more often on) even when set at the "higher" quality level. VERY seldomn are both lines in use at the same time, so we basically have a dedicated Broadband connection for 1 Vonage line.
I am begining to think that it is the box, but since I have not been able to get Vonage tech support to respond to either E-mail or phone (give up or am cut off after long waits like tonight), I wonder if anybody knows if there is an upgrade or other way to fix a sick device (Motorola, btw).

Ouch... so far I know of two business who have dropped Vonage, 3 friends and 1 family member who have done the same - and I am about ready myself. All because of lack of service...

It appears that enough people have left that they are picking up the advertising blitz again. I think I have seen 4 Vonage TV commercials in the past 24 hours. It would seem more cost effictive to keep excisting customers happy instead of trying to replace more customers than the lose. It appears they have changed from a "phone company" to a "marketing company". They are looking to take the company public ( issue stock) and the market will look at the number of subs they have and how many they add each week. As long as this is the focus excisting customer service will suffer.

Vonage is built on a house of cards and the wind is starting to pick up.

Just my opinion of course. your milage may vary.

P.S. Spell check is not working.... but you get my point......

After trying for too long to get a response and afte reading some of the comments on this forum, I am out of hewre. Just bought a router phone device combo (sysliunk G and 2 phone connections) for $59 after rebates at Home Depot. M onthly serv ice for 2 lines is $49.99 and the only difference is slightly higer international calls (but they work, instead of garble garble) and a limit of 500 LD minutes on the second line which is no big deal for me.
Once I have this working, I am moving my other 2 lines as well.
Oh - almost forgot - you get to keepo your numbers for life!

Run the test at http://www.testyourvoip.com perhaps it may give you a hint. Is you connectivity and latency been tested? Try http://www.pingplotter.com It's complicated. PM me for help on setting it up. Find a good line speed test. Have you checked your phones?
