Ok, you can now add me to the list of affected users. Called a friend and received a " The number you have dialed has been disconnected" The number that it said was disconnected was not my friends number nor was it in the same area code. It's now been over three hours since the issue was discovered and it's still not fixed.

Something strange has been happening to my inbound calls for a few days now. Everything was going to the network availability number, even though I could call out on the Vonage line. This has been happening for two days now, so I've just power cycled the ATA and see what happens next.

Its on the outside of a firewall with its own IP address, so its not a firewall/router/etc issue.

After a day of problems, the Vonage Voip started working normally for me.

I guess the problem here is that the support request I sent in reporting the problem was not acknowledged at all and a resolution was not noted. That means to me they did nothing and it started working again on its own.

I say this again: The support from Vonage is great as long as you don't need it (except here with Dan and company!).

Maybe they can get rid of all the support gorups except this forum and direct folks with problems here. The response I receive is great and problems do get resolved here.

My $0.02 (US$)

I've had the same problem happen to me 3 or 4 times now. I can make outgoing calls no problem, but all incoming calls go to my Network Availability Number. I have the Linksys RT31P2, and a power cycle of it always seems to correct the problem. I never had this problem (or any other problems) until Vonage replaced my Cisco ATA with the Linksys RT31P2.

"saachap"

What part of CO you from? I didn't stay at home last night Very Happy so I'm curious if my service will be out when I get back.

I'm in the Westminster area. Southwest part near Aravada and using Comcast.

I'm in Jersey City, NJ. Every single night, my connection goes down. Sometimes at 1am other times at 2am (or somewhere in that neighborhood). I have checked and it cannot be my ISP (Comcast - don't like 'em) since my internet has been up and running at these times.

The service comes back in about 30-60 minutes usually.

I'm assuming this is maintenance but it shouldn't be every night should it? Confused

Hello SBMongoos:

I'm in Highlands Ranch, CO and pleased to say my service has been fine for a day-and-a-half. I, too, am with Comcast. After days of phone problems I had Comcast connect to my Motorola Surfboard and it had been fully functional for over 3 weeks. Kinda pinned the prob on Vonage. A buddy in Parker has been up the whole time, hopefully you'll be fine.

My Vonage is down as well. I don't get the phone light on the PAP2. I'm in CT and my internet access is fine right now. Anyone have any idea what the deal is?

Who is your ISP and you say your internet is fine, but what are your results from the VoIP Speed Test?
