did it used to work? what about taking the wireless router out of the setup for testing purposes?

did you reset the modem and wireless router and your ATA? you are supposed to power everything down, hook everything up, then turn on Modem, after it boots, then turn on your first router(wireless) wait for it to initialize, then your ATA, and don't do anything on your network till everything is initialized..

Yes it worked in the beginning when I had it all hooked up this way .. then I tried plugging a laptop directly into the Vonage linksys router because I wanted to log in with the web interface ... it didn't work .. than i think I may have reset it and the phone light never came back on.

Well I think i might have fixed it ... I changed it back to the way it was ... Wireless Router Behind the Vonage Linksys Router ... Everything seems to be ok now ... I do have a question .. What is the point in running a cable from the LAN/WAN Port to a Regular Port on the same Router? Some type of termination?

Thanks

Also .. this time I ran a cat5 from a regular port on the Vonage Linksys Router to a regular port on the Wireless Router rather than to the LAN/WAN Port on the Router ... When I had it plugged into the LAN/WAN port of the Wireless Router I couldn't use the internet connection and telephone at the same time.

If you're playing around with your routers like that all the time, no wonder your on this forum almost every day with another problem. Have you ever heard the expression, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it"?

WAN is "input" is it not?

you'd have to run 'in' to that port with yoru internet connection, whether it be from your modem, or from your other router..

when you connected Modem-->wireless-->vonage did you have it go form a LAN 'out' or 'ethernet out' port on wireless and into the 'Internet' port on your Vonage? and was it running form your modem to the WAN 'in' of your wireless?

yeah man, if it's working one way than leave it that way...
