I would like the ability to change how my caller id displays to other people that I call.

i believe this would be a great feature, it would also probably end up saving vonage some $$$ in the long run less queries to the third party for Caller ID info

there are some paid services available on the internet to do this but again what are the motives behind doing this? and if its not your phone number you should not do it.

How about actually showing my name? When I call out, all anyone sees is my phone number twice.

Good idea, even better, show any name that I type in through my account. How cool would "Big Daddy Longstroke" be on a caller id!

Time Warner Cable VoIP has this, I wish Vonage did...

Call Number Delivery

Digital Phone subscribers can choose how their name and telephone number will be displayed when calling others. During the order process you can decide what name you want displayed when calling others (your name and telephone number, modified name and telephone number or no display at all).

Example:
Name: Gina Customer
Number: 123-456-7890
Modified Name: G. Customer
Number: 123-456-7890

What you choose will be displayed when the party being called has Caller ID equipment.

How:
You can make this decision at the point of sale. If nothing is picked at the time of sale, the default setting is your billing name and phone number. You can also elect to be anonymous.
