What an annoying browser to work with. I can't keep the page tacked down. It drifts up or down, sometimes right to left like a TV set out of sync. Where's that remove programs tool. |

I've been using Firefox ever since it was publicly released, and I've never encountered any problems like the ones you describe.
Overall, Firefox has some really nice touches that I miss when using IE, especially the tabs. I don't believe Firefox is any more secure or less insecure than IE; they both have their share of vulnerabilites. I've come across a few web sites that don't display the same as IE with Firefox, but most Firefox 'advocates' claim it is because the web site is poorly designed.
Other than that, it is a fine piece of work, but not a quantum leap in browsing. |

I too have not seen the behavior you describe. I prefer Firefox for browsing because it feels faster to me than IE, but mostly I prefer it because of the wide range of developer extensions available.

While perhaps not intrinsically more or less secure, Firefox has a distinct advantage in that fewer malicious programs have been written to take advantage of what security holes exist. This is likely to remain the case while the large disparity in use exists because the ROI on an IE exploit will be higher due to the larger number of seats deployed. |

Absolutely true.. The same can be said for practically anything that is not from Microsoft, be it an operating system, application, driver, or technology. |

Hmmm! Perhaps I'll uninstall/reinstall it and try it again. I have no idea what happened, but you all hold a pretty strong case for it. I think it's worth another try. It worked just fine until I loaded in the 1.0.3 version. Might have been a glitch in the download. Thanks. |
