Is there anyway to record your vonage telephone calls ... saving them to a pc in an audio file format?

You can probably hook up your phone to a tape recorder to record, then hook up your tape recorder to your sound card and record it from there.

I have an inline phone adapter that runs into my sound card mic.

I think I picked it up at a spy shop.

I have an adapter that splits one line into 2 lines on my PAP2. 1 line goes to the phone and the other goes to my sound card. It has a pin connection. It is made for this type of application.

Then I purchased a product called POLDERBITS

http://www.polderbits.com

It captures the sound going into the mic, and you can save it to mp3 to save HDD space.

Works great.

Yes,
The way I do it is with the splitter off the PAP2. 1 line to the phone and 1 line to the phone recording cable to the mic on my sound card in my PC.
I open up Polderbits and hit record....then once the call is over, I save it as an MP3....listen later

If you live near a spy shop, go in and inquire about...not sure of the laws in recording calls.
I record calls between my kids and thier mother with the permission of the courts.....of course. She knows I can record at any given time without informing her.

Well, depending on how far you are willing to go to do it, there is a network way of doing it. You can install some software on your PC called ethereal. It is a packet capture software that will capture tcp/udp packets. So, if you have your adapter and your PC plugged into a HUB (not a switch), you can capture the phone call. And ethereal has a decode for VOP traffic. I have not tried it yet, but I would like to Smile
