Want to switch to Vonage, but am unsure of how to connect fifteen separate phone lines with the ability to place one line on hold and pick up from a different line. If everyone in office has their own line, what will the "interface" be? Will I continue to use my BIZ FON system?
Thanks |

I am trying to get a new business vonage line and I sent in a request through the VAR to discuss whether I will be able to use the 680 with Vonage or not. Haven't heard from them so wondering if you have got this resolved. |

The Bizfone stuff is small home-office, not true business, but you can get whatever Vonage plan best suits your needs. As far as interfacing it with Vonage, I pulled this straight from the BizFon website:
Telephone company lines: Six, six-pin RJ-11 jacks
Extensions: Eight, six-pin RJ-11 jacks
So, just get a few phone adapters (I think Vonage VARs have one which has 4 ports, or you can just use a bunch of the RTP300's at 2 lines each) and plug the phone cable from the Vonage adapter to the phone system's RJ-11 jacks. An RJ-11 jack is a standard single line phone jack, very much like the ones you probably have in your house. |

I contacted Don Budzik, VP Sales @ ISI communications in Chicago. He was very effective in informing me how i go about transition in terms of nuts and bolts. His email is dbudzik@isi1.net
Hope this helps!

Please feel free to call us as we can answer any questions. Also BizFon has a NEW IP-PBX System called the BizFon 7000 which offers true ITSP integration. Please e-mail me at Walter@Vitalcomm.net for more info. |
