I got my Vonage box Friday and took the rest of the night getting it set up. Then today called Vonage Tech Support and had my Packetization set to 10 (Thanks to this forum ). Set my Tivo up as per instruction on this forum (Thanks again), and it dialed right through the first time! I thought i would be asking too much for ADT to work too, but it does!
Here is my set up.
Everything is home run to my basement
Comcast HSI 4000/356 > Motorola 5100 Cable modem > Linksys RT31P2 > via cable to office > D-Link 614+
From the RT31P2 the phone line runs to the alarm then back to a central punch down block, then to a distribution panel for the phones.
RT31P2 WAN = Obtain an IP Automatically DHCP = off QoS upstream Rate = 735kb/s
D-Link 624+ WAN = Static Ip (Used the next one in line after the Linksys’s) WAN DNS = Same as what the Lnksys is using with the cable modem DHCP = on
Alarm Box is made by Interlogix, model = Concord Expres
Tivo = Gen 2 Dial Prefex = ,#304 Call Waiting Prefex = *99,*70 Dials a local number
Thanks to every one who posted their solutions here, it made a world of difference.
Do i dare push my luck and try to fax!?!? Maybe i should just go to Vegas! |
