With Vonage wired into the house I can use the fax machine , but can't get the alram to work.

I have heard the alarm dialing, but I can't tell if there is a dial tone when it is trying to call.

Here is one question though.

Years ago when DSL when the greatest thing, I had it at my home. The alarm company had to wire in a DSL Filter.

I have long since switched to cable, but the DSL Filter is still wired in the alarm system.

Could this filter be the probem?
