Canadian Customs & Vonage

Hi all.

I have recently signed up for Vonage's Unlimited USA / Canada package.

I just noticed that they have sent the Kit/Equipment from NJ/USA via DHL.

Was wondering if Canada Customs are going to bust me on taxes for the Kit/Equipment i.e tax , GST/PST as I reside in GTA / Ontario.

I know whenever I receive a package from the US i.e. after purchasing on ebay..I usually have to pay the price .. Canada Customs GST PST tax if applicable.

Pls can someone else here in Canada relate their experiences towards this regard.

Your Vonage package will arrive at your address free of any charges from CCRA -- that was my experience.

mine was shipped via UPS in Jan, and I got busted $12.25 GST, and it was COD too!! but I called Vonage and told them I wasn't impressed, they gave me a credit on my next bill of $12.25..

My experience : Received my Kit from Vonage via DHL.
No custom duties or anything imposed. Thank goodness for a change Lol

I got back from work and just plugged the Unit in and WOW Vonage works so good. Wish I had gone for their service instead of Comwave..-> a truly pathetic service backed by incompetent customer service..their website is also loaded with spelling mistakes. I had Comwave Iphone for less than 2weeks.. Terrible service am planning on writing a letter to the Company and the local newspaper The Toronto STar of the whole ordeal. Anyhow better late than never ..I'm glad I turned to Vonage. So far so good - great !!!!
