I am not able to enter a credit request at vonage.com for being one month over on my LNP. The online form comes back with an error because I have not entered a TransactionID associated with a call.

Do I have to call customer service to get a credit for LNP? I am really trying to avoid that - these forums paint a bleak picture concerning that venture. How have others gotten a credit for overdue LNPs?

You need to call and "check the status" of your transfer. If 20 BUSINESS DAYS have passed (about 1 month) they should offer you a 1 month credit. If they don't, just NICELY suggest that you really don't want to continue paying 2 phone bills. You won't get credit unless you've exceeded the quoted "normal" time it should take (20 BUSINESS DAYS=approx 1 month).

Sweet. VonTageGal obviously has the script and knows what she is talking about . . .

I called Vonage Cust Support just now. Only three minutes on hold. A very pleasant fellow takes my request for "transfer status" and puts me on hold for a short bit. He comes back and tells me that the request was resubmitted on 4/8 (already knew that) and that they have not heard back yet. I thank him for this update and comment that I am coming up on the end of my billing cycle and that it is a bummer to have to pay two phone bills. He offers to credit my acount one month since it has been two months since the LNP started. He went ahead and did that while I was on the phone. I thanked him again and sincerely wished him a good day.

Five stars for Vonage customer support based on my limited experience.

My wait time is almost 3 months. Vonage credited me for the 3 months.
(BTW, they won't credit the International call charges)

First try sending email to numbertransfer@vonage.com. If you don't get reply in 2 days then call the customer service. 866-243-4357

Last week I called regarding my transfer, my wait time is less than 1 minute.

You got lucky and connected with one of the (many) reps who don't have a clue or is unable to figure out how to count to 20. Being able to read, write, speak and count unfortunately aren't prerequisites for employment. Rolling Eyes

Totally satisfied with friendly Vonage customer service. Just called them to check the number transfer status, and got credit for one month in 15 minutes. They also credited me for the plan change charge that I did last month...
Thanks to Vonage and their quality service. Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

I'm sitting at business day number 22 so I decided to give Vonage a call to get a credit as others have done on this forum. When I called I was informed that because only two business days beyond the 20 has passed I was ineligible to receive a credit for at least a few more days. Is this true? I was also told that it would only be a partial months credit? Is this also true? I wasn't in the mood to argue so I just let it go.

I don't know what their specific policy is but can report what I did. I called when it was several days away from my billing date. This was about three weeks after my 20 business day LNP period had passed. The CS rep credited me $24.99 while I was on the phone. I verified it immediately online and it was there.
