Hello,
I am using Vonage for over a month now. Was doing perfectly fine with very clear voice quality until a week ago. My internet connection is via cable.
My linksys WRT54GP2 works okay on startup with green power, WLAN, ethernet1, phone1 lights, whereas internet light is green blinking - all normal. I have a phone connected directly to the linksys router on phone1. When I pick up the phone initially I hear clear dial tone and am able to make the call. However, within the first one to two minutes of talk-time the line goes off and there is nothing except dead air on the line. However, my phone1 green light is still blinking (normal). When I place my telephone handset on the craddle, the green light for phone1 goes to permanently ON status (again normal). However, now when I pickup I my phone there is no dialtone - nothing at all.
I have checked and replaced my telephone set/cable - to no avail.
My internet, ethernet and wireless LAN work perfectly fine. Please help.

I would go to the status page of the router config and see what it said for Line1 after the first call (when the light is on but no dial tone). |
