I know in my last post I said I was going to give up, but I became concerned that I would end up in another quagmire if I did. I read where several folks had cancelled the LNP request with Vonage, and it not be cancelled with their carrier and ended up with no phone service. So I decided to wait them out, since I was getting credited every month I had a free additional line. Sorta free, you still have to pay the taxes, but not to bad. I also began to notice that the more credits I received the more they worked on the issue. Well I'm happy to report the following - January 20, 2005 Awaiting Letter of Authorization January 25, 2005 Letter of Authorization (LOA) Received January 25, 2005 Transfer Sent to Carrier June 2, 2005 Carrier Approved Transfer As of June 7, the switch actually occurred, still haven't heard from Vonage that it did, just that I noticed that incoming calls were coming on my Vonage phone. My old carrier was with Momentum Telecom, but BellSouth owned the line. This may have caused additional problems, not sure. Well for now all is well. I hope there are no service issues, but I'll keep you updated. |

Well, I just received my email today (6/10) to inform me that my transfer is complete and working. Of course it really transferred 3 days ago. All is well so far. |
