If you make people call you at your Vonage SIP I *think* you'll get billed for it because the call gets routed from the Vonage SIP server. Unless they do accounting on the phone adapter which will surprise me.
I did try to have a friend call me from his PC at my_number@my-ip.com:10000 and it worked. I'm glad that Vonage didn't block this feature because it doesn't affect their service profitability IMO.
I didn't fully test the connection because I was at work but I saw the packets coming in and I had somebody at home tell me if the phone was rining, so the only part I didnt test was the voice connection (RTP).
