I have had a Linksys BEFW11S4 wireless router for many years now, using it with my Cable Modem connection and it has worked with no issues. I got Vonage (and an RT31P2 Adapter) in December '04 and again everything worked fine out of the box.

Last week, I decided to replace my older Linksys Cable Modem with a new Motorola Surfboard SB5100. I immediately started having problems with my wireless connection where it would start off with a good connection and gradually (over about 4-6 hrs) cut down to a 1.0 mps signal and finally the access point would be unreachable. Seemed like only a reboot of the wireless router would correct the issue only to reoccur another 4-6 hrs later.

I decided to upgrade the firmware (from 1.45.1 to 1.50.14) on the Linksys wireless router and happily that seems to have resolved all of my issues... Just thought I would pass on this tip to anyone that might be experiencing a similar issue.

How is your connection being made? I'm having trouble with mine...
