Reboot everything
Make sure you have the phone plugged into port 1 on the Linksys |

Make sure the old copper line to your phone line box is disconnected on the user side. You should have an outdoor line in for the phone. Find that box and line in, then open the user side( your access) with a phillipshead screwdriver. Unplug the line in. I had same problem...phone Comp. never disconnected the line after the Vonage change. Took two calls to Von. Tech Support to clear up the problem. |

cancunraff,
I have some questions before offering any help. Where did you get the router? Was it from Vonage directly or did you purchase at a retail store? The reason why I ask this is because if you purchased it from a retail store, you need to activate it first.
Also, how is this connected? Is your phone connected directly into the router? If so, then there is no need to disconnect the telephone company's wiring to your home.
If you got this from Vonage directly, they might not have activated your unit before shipping. Though this is rare, you would not be the first to have this happen to you.
Also, is the phone light solid green?
Answering these questions would help me identify where you might be having issues. Thanks, Mundy5. |

Good point Mundy. I didn't even know that.
