I had SBC in Illinois(Chicago). I didn't have to rally escalate it much, just some e-mails to the LNP department every couple of weeks after the 20 days were up.
The only problem through the whole thing was that my temp virtual number was outside of my local calling area and I had to get a new virtual number, which I was charged for, but got the charges reversed.
Good luck to all of you with SBC in ILL\IN\Mi. The LNP will happen, just be patient.

I'm just glad I didn't need to worry about a transfer for my line
