Feature Requests:
1) More then one email address option for vmail notifications
IE - I would like the notification to go to both my wife’s and my email address.
2) The attached voice mail's are very large in the WAV format. It would be great if you can choose a better format like MP3 or WMA.
3) The big one: I would like to see a PC application that would do a screen pop when there is an incoming call and allow you to choose to redirect it or send it directly to vmail.
IE - I have a friend using another VOIP service from Primus in Canada that offers this feature and he LOVES it. When he is at work and there is a call to his home number he sees a popup with the Caller ID and name of the person calling. He can then choose to redirect it his cell or let vmail take it.
Thanks

Depending on what email you are using, you might be able to set up a rule to have your vonage voicemails forwarded to your wife's email account.
Just a thought.

That works and I am doing it that way right now. But really how hard would it be to add another address on the "TO:" line through the Vonage system. I would like to see Vonage fix it correctly rather then making us jump through hoops to get the same result. |

I have my own registered domain with email forwarding.
I just setup an email voicemail@xxxyyyzzz.net which forwards it to my email and my wife's email accounts. It works perfectly.
You can get your own registered domain with email forwarding for as little as $8/year. |

Im thinking of this from a ISP's standpoint:
Too much bandwidth, the files are quite big, and if vonage had to send out that same email with the attachment that would eat up alot of bandwidth on there end, its much easiyer for you to set up a simple forward to direct the email were it needs to be. |

Or let you select a format and if you want it ZIP'd... That might let them actually get through the company's email anti-virus filters that strip out the WAV file... |

I would want it to be cross platform such as either MP3 or a zipped WAV and not some proprietary non platform independent format. Believe it or not, not everybody runs Windoze. And don't enhance it into a streaming format as that makes archiving them ourselves more difficult. |
