I recently switched to Vonage and have had an excellent experience. The total setup time was maybe 15 min. It could not have been easier. I also decided to go with the Linksys Wireless/Router/Hub in one unit and have had no issues.
The one feature I discovered that is available in the US but not in Canada is Click2Call. It is a small application that allows you to instant dial any number from MS Outlook automatically.
Does anyone know if this service (or similar) will be made available in Canada? |

This has been discussed quite a bit in other Canadian threads. As far as I know there is no promise that we will even get it, let alone when we will get it. I am not sure what the reasons are for this. |

It's not an April Fool.
Click2call is here.
You can test it at: https://secure.click2callu.com/
Enfin c'est fait! Click2call est disponible pour les abonnés canadiens... |

Although I don't think it's officially supported in Canada, you can easily download it from the US Vonage Site .
Just follow the instructions and install it. Works fine for me!
Pretty cool, but could use a bit more devlopment. |

Hi there,
Have downloaded, installed and tested "Click-2-Call" with my Windows system, works AOK.
Anyone know if there is a MAC OS version/plug-in/widget that will also work with Vonage.ca numbers?
Thanks in advance,
-Jeff |

I can highly recommend this one:
http://homepage.mac.com/jcmallery/qualityshareware/
These are very simple AppleScripts. I'm using the Vonage Softphone script on my 12" PowerBook. The benefit of using one of these scripts is that they integrate the Vonage dialling capability directly into to Apple Address Book, adding a pop-up menu from any phone number to dial the number using Vonage.
I've never tried the Callback version -- I have a high quality Bluetooth headset, so I rather enjoy using the Softphone and being able to hold a conversation while going completely wireless and hands-free. So I can't comment on the callback version. However, the Softphone version works like a champ, autodialing the X-Ten Softphone at the click of a button.
HTH!
