I've run into a problem over the last couple of days - I've been getting calls dropped after 60 to 90 seconds. Actually, I think the call stays up, but there's no audio from either end.
I e-mailed Vonage customer support and they said that they're aware of the problem and the "engineers" are working on it. Over the last couple of hours the problem has progressed to the point where I can't dial out, even to voicemail, because all I get is a fast busy signal. Incoming calls ring through but when I pick up there's no audio (in either direction).
I've reset my router, ATA and cable modem to no effect. I know my configuration is good, because it's been working for a couple of weeks now with no problem (ATA is in the router DMZ).
Has anyone else had this problem? If so, is there any more information on why it's occurring?

Yesterday I was getting alot of dropped calls after about 1 min. or 2 into the call. Same thing as your problem, neither side had audio. But it only happened with a couple of people that I called. I called my aunt 3-4 times because it kept happening, I had to ultimately call her from my cell phone. But when calling others, the connection remained just fine.
I had to run out after that and didn't get home till late in the evening so I didn't even check the line again the rest of the day. When I got home I accidentally unplugged my router and ATA while moving some wires around behind my computer but my connection seemed to work fine all day today. So, I don't know if resetting the router and ATA did the trick or if it was a Vonage problem that they may have fixed. |

Basically, from what I can piece together, they made a quick change to the central servers, and it hiccupped. The folks in their shop are really good at what they do, they'll fix it. Give it a few days, believe me, I understand the frustration, I've got 140 employees yelling at me that they can't make calls. |

I had a similar problem Thursday. When I called from New Jersey to Florida the line kept dropping. i finally just used my backup landline. The next day (Friday) I called New jersey to Pennsylvania for an hour, no problem but when I called Florida it happened again after a minute, then I called back and it ws fine for a 30minute phone call. I didn't reset anything, I figured it was with Vonage's lines. I have had it for almost a month and love it. this was the first "Major" glitch that I have had and I've put over 1500 minutes on it in November alone. It has definitely been a worthwhile investment. |

I had this happen over the holiday...it appeared that once i reset the ATA (motorola) it cleared up the problem.
But this morning my wife called me from Vonage phone and got disconnected after about a minute or so.
If anyone hears anything more on this from support please post here as i do not have an hour to sit on hold today

I had an e-mail from Vonage customer support on Saturday night claiming that the problem had been fixed. I reset my ATA and it did start to work. However, throughout Sunday I had calls that would drop after a minute or so, while some would carry on indefinitely. I'm going to e-mail them back again today to try to troubleshoot this some more. |

... I've had no problem whatsoever. And, I didn't reset anything.. nor did I get any emails from Vonage advising me of any outage or to do any ATA resets. Hmmmmmmmmmmm..... |

Update: I just experienced another dropped call after about 2 min. so apparently my problem hasn't been fixed after all.
I've been on hold with Vonage for about 10 min. now and this call doesn't seem to drop! |
