i was wondering why is there such a BIG diffrence in the Vonage speed test and the speed test on broadband reports.com I know that how far you are from the test server has some thing to do with it but this is a big diffrence
here are the results from Vonage: Download 821,320 bps Upload 439,432 bps QOS 57% RTT 1 ms MaxPause 204 ms 5 high quality calls the results for a test sight in cleaveland: download 4,236,809 bps upload 713,775 bps rwin 121180 Actual data bytes sent: 146000 Actual data packets: 100 Max packet sent (MTU): 1500 Max packet recd (MTU): 1500 Retransmitted data packets: 0 sacks you sent: 0 pushed data pkts: 3 data transmit time: 0.430 secs our max idletime: 45.1 ms |

I was also getting horrible readings when doing the test via this forum. However, when I do test via testmyvoip and other places it says same as a POTs line and I get excellent quality. I don't put a lot of faith in the Voip tests here and have read if you have made other tweaks on your system it may give you low numbers on your speed tests. |

this is how useless the Vonage speed test is i just tested witout being on the phone
results: down : 675kbps up : 154kbps qos : 90% can support 0 calls
using testmyvoip.com on the phone while a test call to helsinki finland
4.8 out of 5.0 stated it was like calling next door
using speakeasy.net 4035mbps down |
