Last month, the Federal Trade Commission said for the first time that retailers could be held liable when manufacturers fail to honor rebate requests. The FTC said CompUSA told consumers that rebate checks would be mailed within six to eight weeks, but many consumers experienced delays of months and never got their checks.

bottom line, if Vonage dont give you your rebate, go after the retailer who sold the device to you. |

Have you called Vonage? Did they actually say that they won't honor the rebate? Did the rebate come to you from Vonage? CompUsa is just the distributor and has nothing to do with the manufacturers. What does it say on the rebate coupon?
Normally, Vonage will have you wait 90 days until they honor a rebate. They want to ensure that you are a customer for at least that long. They will then take 6 to 10 weeks to cut the check. Could this be the case?
We need details. Who said what, why, when! There is nothing we can do about the FTC. |
